Recipe: Kariveppilai Rice

Gingelly oil:100ml

For curry leaf powder
Curry leaf:600gm
Red chillies:5
Urad dal:10gm
Asafoetida powder:a pinch
Salt:to taste

For Tempering
gingelly oil:200gm
Red chillies:3
Mustard seeds:5gm
Urad dal:10gm
chana dal:5gm
curry leaves


Wash , strain and boil the rice . Allow the boiled rice to cool for sometime. Dry roast red chillies, urad dal, asafoetida powder, salt and curry leaf.Perpare temperiong with all the ingredients listed. Add the curry powder and check seasoning. Add rice to the curry powder.Finally add cashew . Serve hot!
